What can you find at a Certified Farmer's Market? Hundreds of varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh honey and beeswax candles, and other California agricultural products like Emu meats and by-products.  Certified Farmers' Markets by State law can have a portion of the market dedicated to other products which cannot be certified by the Agriculture Commissioner as grown in its entirety by the farmer. The most common 'non-certified' products in a Certified Farmers' Market is breads and other bakery items.At the Placerville, South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado Hills markets there are other kitchen items like jams, jellies and salsas and garden items too.

Gardening Ideas.  Fun ideas for your garden are also there. There are ornamental garden pieces, pots and garden basket hooks.

Fresh Breads.  To compliment the certified produce, the markets have fresh breads, rolls, and other treats.  Baked especially for the market day, the aroma of its freshness is proof of quality.

Fine Preserves and Pies.  Among the products at the markets you will find sweet jams, jellies, preserves, and fresh pies and cobblers to compliment dinner menus. Also items like fine jalapeno jelly and preserved garlic.
